Disana Knitted Leggings

disana-logo.jpg

Disana Merino wool leggings are so soft and comfortable. Knitted in a single layer rib pattern, these leggings are slightly thinner than our popular Disana wool covers. Disana wool leggings also work great as diaper covers over fitted diapers during the day when diaper changes are more frequent, if properly lanolized (at least twice when new). These pants have a nice stretch to them and fit great over cloth diapers. (However, we recommend using our 2 -layer Disana wool covers overnight, especially if your child is a heavy wetter.) Whichever way you use them, you will get a lot of use out of Disana wool leggings. The non-itchy wool keeps baby warm and comfortable throughout the day, especially on brisk winter days, and cozy at night when used as pajama bottoms.

SIZE

50/56 = 0-3 months
62/68 = 3-6 months
74/80 = 6-12 months
86/92 = 12-24 months
98/104 = 3-4 years (Formerly 2-3 years)
110/116 = 5-6 years (Formerly 4-5 years)
122/128 = 7-8 years (Formerly 6-7 years)
134/140 = 9-10 years

Disana sizes are based on your child's height, not their age. While you know your child's age, it doesn't reliably indicate the right size. That's why we recommend measuring your child’s height before choosing a size. See sizing chart in images

A common question is: how much room to grow is okay? Folding sleeves or pant legs once is usually fine—but anything more can affect comfort. It's important that your child can move freely and, most importantly, stays warm. A jacket or overall that's too large may limit movement and let in cold air.

CARE

Pure new wool is naturally dirt and odour repellent. That's why woollen items only rarely need to be washed. Airing in the fresh air is usually sufficient to get a woollen item hygienically clean and fresh again. If a woollen article does need to be washed, it should be handled with care.

Washing is always at your own risk.

We recommend washing our disana wool items by hand. This is best done in the hand wash basin, in cold water, with our disana wool shampoo. Do not wring or rub, just press through lightly. Then rinse at the same water temperature and squeeze out carefully. If you prefer to machine wash, please do so in the wool wash program, cold and without spinning or only with a maximum of 400 rotations.
Dry lying on the washing rack in a place that is not too sunny.

Use wool detergent

    Wool Rocks

Posted by Shasta on 8th Sep 2014

This is the second pair of the wool leggings that I have purchased for my daughter. I love these because they are so warm but not as bulky and hard to get into as the Disana trousers. There is plenty of stretch for baby to grow or to accommodate the prefold and wool cover baby junk in the trunk. The extra length is great for when they are in a carrier and the pants get hiked up...their little calves can still be covered. I just wish they came in plum.

    Disana wool pants

Posted by Unknown on 24th Nov 2013

These wool pants are lovely and warm and come in some great colours. My son felt comfortable in his as soon as he put them on and he is sometimes sensitive about fabrics. It is hard to tell from the picture, but the bum area is big, which is fine if you have a diaper under them, but for older toddlers, this just ends up looking big and baggy and high-waisted. They are often long for their size, which is great because they will last a long time and are easy to roll up. Note that the price may be higher than listed if it's for an older toddler.

    Warm, cozy, fantastic

Posted by Foo on 19th Oct 2013

These are awesome. Very roomy, so they fit easily over cloth diapers (absolutely no need to size up), and my son seems really comfy in them. The extra leg length isn't a problem - they look super cute rolled up, and I like that I can roll them down to cover his ankles when he's in the baby carrier or stroller. Only very slight negative is that if pulled tight across the bottom, the ribbed knit is a little bit see-through, but it's hardly noticeable. I may just have to get a second pair, as I think he's going to be living in them this winter!

    great leggings

Posted by Unknown on 19th Mar 2013

I purchased the leggings for my 3.5 months old baby in size 3-6 months (62/68) and love them :) They are beautiful, warm and gentle in touch. The sizing is very generous and I think they will fit him as well in fall - right now I had to roll them twice, which still looks really very nice and gives him room to grow. I plan to use them as well as diaper covers as we use cloth diapers. I would really recommend this leggings, they're just great.
