It quickly became clear that we needed a partner for this project who not only had the knowledge and technology for the production of shoes. The right partner should also share our passion for natural materials and live our philosophy of sustainable production.
We have found such a partner in Werner 1911 from Pirmasens. Werner has been manufacturing shoes for over a hundred years and brings a great deal of know-how to our project.
Florian Werner and his team are no strangers when it comes to sustainably manufactured shoes made from purely natural materials. Whenever well-made manual work is mentioned, when a fresh design and the use of natural leather is required, the name Werner comes to mind in the shoe scene.
Florian Werner is not only concerned with shoe production itself. Like us, it starts at the very beginning of the supply chain. The pastures, the animal welfare, the vegetable tanning, the dyeing of the leather. Everything makes sense and in the end results in an amazing natural material - the finest organic natural leather.

The shoes are manufactured in the Werner workshops in Romania and Slovakia.

MATERIAL
Lining and applications are made of 100% chrome-free, vegetable-tanned leather from controlled organic animal husbandry. The leather production meets the guidelines for the quality mark "IVN Naturleder".
The insole is also covered with natural leather. A lining made of coconut fiber provides more comfort.
The outsole is made from 100% natural rubber. It is very flexible and makes it easier for the foot to roll off. Nevertheless, it offers sufficient protection and support. The sole is raised at the front. As additional protection – for feet and material.

Wool felt made from soft organic new wool and natural leather complement each other perfectly in our shoes. Both are breathable and release excess moisture to the outside. For a pleasant foot climate. Both materials are soft and adapt to the shape of the foot. But together they provide support and strength for the healthy development of children's feet.

CARE
To clean, allow to dry and brush with a soft clothes brush.
Dab stains carefully with disana wool shampoo and leave to take effect for a short time. Then dab with a slightly damp cloth.
Do not put in the washing machine.
Many "impregnation sprays" contain toxic substances that have no place on a child's foot. Instead, we recommend applying a thin lanolin solution with a floral syringe. In this way you increase the moisture-repellent properties of the wool fibers in the felt.
