Ostheimer Icelandic Horse Hrokur
I'm the Iceland horse, and I'm the newest member of the Ostheimer horse family. Yes, I'm a bit smaller than the others and sometimes mistaken for a pony, but strong and freedom-loving as we Icelanders are, I love to gallop across the pasture with my flowing mane. Have you noticed the special mark on my forehead? I'm very proud of it, and of my name too: You can pronounce it "Roo-kür." In Icelandic, it means "tower."
This friendly wooden horse from the large Ostheimer horse farm play world faithfully accompanies children throughout their childhood.
Join Hrókur, the brave Icelandic horse, and the SkyRiders on an unforgettable adventure filled with courage, friendship, and imagination. Beautifully illustrated and engaging for young readers, this story invites children into a magical world they will want to visit again and again.
To bring the story to life, pair the book with the matching Ostheimer wooden Icelandic horse. As children follow Hrókur's journey, they can recreate favorite scenes, invent new adventures, and expand the story through imaginative, open-ended play. Together, the book and the wooden horse make a meaningful gift that encourages creativity, storytelling, and a lasting love of imaginative play.
