Wonderful texture
This is a beautiful little baby blanket with a wonderful, springy, three-dimensional texture to the weave. The contrast stitching is lovely too. I am always drawn to Disana's colours, but after much deliberation chose the Anthracite/Grey and love it. Makes an ideal snuggle blanket for the newborn days, and the weave has amazing stretch and spring to it so I also used it as a swaddle of sorts for my mid-winter baby in those cold early months. The size makes it ideal as a stroller blanket too (we used it inside our stroller bag for extra warmth). Do take extra care with washing this one though, as it felts very easily. I'm fairly experienced with wool and hand washed it, but in those foggy post-partum days I made the mistake of gently spinning the water out in our machine, with the blanket in a mesh bag, and I totally felted it. It shrank and lost some of its wonderful elasticity, but we still use it regularly. Just bummed at my mistake...
