Love this detergent for cloth diapers
I bought a couple of bottles of this before my daughter was born for use with her cloth diapers. I started using the recommended amount, but then noticed that I should be using about half of that with my cloth diapers (as per cloth diaper care instructions that came with my diapers). After that I used 2 teaspoons per load (I have a top-loading machine with agitator, my water is not excessively hard, and I pre-rinsed with cold water followed by a warm wash and occassional extra-rinse). My diapers always came very clean and I had no problems with residue build-up or odour. Compared to other cloth diaper detergent that I have tried (Rockin Green Lavender), I prefer Allen's Naturally for cleanliness and no odour. The detergent bottle lasts a really long time and I have yet to go through both bottles in the last 6 months. My mom uses this in her HE washing machine with only a dime-sized amount as it produces a lot of suds. I guess the only down-side is when we travelled, it was easier to transport a powder detergent like Rockin Green, but I had odour problems when I used Rockin Green for about a week. A travel-sized bottle of Allen's ANturally would be great for travel. I would recommend Allen's Naturally detergent.
