bumGenius 4.0 Pocket Diapers fit most babies from 7 to 35+ pounds. This means no more sorting by size or having to carry multiple diapers when going out. Three snap-downs on the front of the diaper allow you to easily adjust the size of the diaper as your baby grows. For newborns, fold down the insert stopper for an extra-small rise.

Care Instructions

Fasten hook tabs to laundry tabs on slot cover. Pre-wash cold. Wash hot (100F/40C) with detergent. Extra rinse. No laundry additives. Line dry the cover. Tumble dry the insert. No fabric softeners. Use 1/4 cup or 60 mL bleach in the hot wash once per month.

We bought 20 of the Bumgenius 4.0 velcro, after 2 friends recommended them. Very happy so far!! Minimum leakage, fit great. Recommended!!
Easy, beautiful, well-made cloth diapers

We started with a stash of Prefolds and flats and tried only one bum genius 4.0 with Velcro. We thought we would save money by using flats. Although I didn't mind them at all, my husband really preferred the ease of using the Bum Genius diaper. (especially at night) They are definitely easier to put on, just like a disposable. And definitely a good idea to have a few of these if you are going to be leaving your baby with another care giver that isn't familiar with cloth diapering, because they won't have to learn any new techniques. So we decided to buy a bunch of these to add to our collection and they will be our preferred go-to diaper. Yes, they are a bit more money, but you will use them A LOT! You want to be happy about the diapers you are using. Only thing with these is there is slightly a bit more work in the post-use stage - have to take out the insert from the pocket, unbutton the insert (if on small setting) and then throw in the dirty bag. (as opposed to just throwing a flat diaper in as is). Oh, and you also have to stuff the pockets before use. So really, they aren't a time-saver, but the time you do spend with them is easy and intuitive vs trying to learn new folds and applying on a squirmy, ever-growing newborn. I'm hoping the Velcro holds up long term. Too early to know (have only had for a week) and I always use the wash tabs. I love how soft these diapers are against baby's skin, and they seem to keep the dampness away from baby's skin a bit better than the flat diapers, and he doesn't seem to get the red marks around his legs that he did from other covers making the Bum Genius diaper more comfortable for our baby. Highly recommend!
Love the new 4.0's with snaps

I liked the earlier BG version with velcro until my son decided how fun it was to contantly rip the velcro open at changes. After trying one BG 4.0 with snaps, I bought 2 more locally then ordered 6 more from Ava's Appletree as I found they have the best price around and the BG sale made it even better. These 4.0's are so well-designed and fit great. The snaps and the leg elastic do a great job of keeping messes inside. I have yet to have a leak with these. I can also see they could fit until potty-training unlike the FuzziBunz I am replacing which really never fit well and had many problems with. The colours are great too - so cute!

We bought some bumgenius newborn aio as well as some bumgenius 4.0. Both products have been absolutely great, we love the bright colours and the prints are adorable. Great service, fast shipping!

I love my BumGenius 4.0s! As a first time mom, I did a lot of research before committing to the purchase of cloth diapers. I wanted a good brand that would stand up to disposables. I definitely found them in the bumGenius. My diapers are beautiful and fool-proof. My daughter never has a diaper rash because the stay-dry fabric wicks away any wetness. I am exceptionally happy with these diapers and would highly recommend them.
Ava's Appletree also sent the diapers immediately upon ordering them. They were fast and efficient and I will be ordering again!

I used cloth diapers with my first daughter and had leaks all the time. It was so bad that I gave up cloth diapering completely and switched to disposables. I really loved the idea of cloth diapering but it didn't work for us. When our second one was on the way 4 years later I wanted to give it another try. This time I did my homework and researched for weeks on the internet. I read so many good things about Bumgenius pocket diapers that I decided to purchase them. Oh my, what a difference. We have no leaks or rashes anymore and the diaper fits perfectly on our 4 months old. I can highly recommend Bumgenius diapers.
